Macie Hill died in an accident during the July 4th parade when a Hummer hit the float she was riding on along with her team.
Macie was a young talented girl who was cheering with her team Patriot Cheer All-Stars in the Independence Day march in Utah. But she succumbed to several injuries after a Hummer struck the team’s float.
On July 6, the people of Kaysville gathered for a candlelight vigil to memorialize Hill. Her friends, families, and well-wishers gathered in the corners of Gentile and S Fairfield in order to pay the last tribute to Macie.
The cheerleaders from Beehive State were seen standing on both sides of the Layton streets on July 9th. They were in high-V motion as the final procession of Macie began.

Macie Hill was an eight years old girl from Utah who died in a tragic accident while cheering in the Kaysville parade.
“She was full of life and showed joy and love to everyone”, said Jennie Dopp, a neighbor of the Hill family.
The girl grew up with three of her older brothers. She was the heart of her family. The Hill family is devastated by the tragic incident and asked for some privacy while they mourn their loss.
Macie’s father said, “she passed away doing what she loved, being with her team”. Macie was in the Patriot Cheer team in West Kaysville. She will be buried by her parents during her funeral.

The death of Macie was caused because of numerous injuries in the aftermath of the horrific accident.
Hill was in her team’s float dancing and cheering in the parade that took place in Kaysville city in Utah. The float crashed with a yellow Hummer that was also a part of the parade on the main street.
The parade was canceled after the auto-pedestrian accident. Macie was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital by the Kaysville Police Department. Later, her parents confirmed her death during her treatment in the Layton Parkway Hospital.
